OPTOx was created to fulfill the needs of all those suffering from vision problems, offering them a wide range of products developed and marketed by the group SOOFT/BIOOS (The double O group).

Fulvio Foschini, Vice President and Development Manager at SOOFT, felt the need to extend the marketing of some products restricted until now to Pharmacies, to the opticians. These are products particularly appropriate to prevent and alleviate the typical problems of those who wear glasses or contact lenses.

Strong of his experience of over ten years as managing director of a series of important Pharmaceutical Corporations in Italy, Europe and in the Middle East, Fulvio Foschini got in touch with Bruno Casu, one of the biggest and most acknowledged experts in the Italian and Southern European Optical Market.

Bruno Casu, with an experience of over 25 years in the Optical Market management, took up the challenge. That is how, on May 2005, the idea, the company and the products that constitute the OPTOx reality, took shape.

The name OPTOx was chosen to honor OPTOMETRY, the most qualified branch of the Optic science. Optometry becomes an integral part of the OPTOx logo: OPTOx The Innovation in Optometry. But also the verb to OPT has influenced our choice. That's why many people already call OPTOx ... "OPTO... per" (I opt for...).

Then the products.
They are extremely high in techno-scientific content and performance, as it will be obvious to all those who use them, in the comfort, prevention/alleviation of problems caused by the adaptive/visual stress fields. That's how, shooting ahead while establishing a perfectly structured company, from March 6, 2006 the Opticians can offer three lines of supplements, essential for a comfortable vision.
• Supplements for the tear film. Eye drops useful to eliminate all the discomforts linked to the scarce or to the quality of the tear film. (Dry eye) .
• Supplements for the periocular comfort. Bandages and gauzes to alleviate any kind of eyelid tiredness, including the annoying "eye bags" and eyelid edema.
• Supplements for the eye metabolism. Tablets and soluble micro-granules for the visual tiredness and diminished visual "contrast".
Supplements are necessary because the main idea is to replenish, rather than substitute, those elements that are lacking in our diet, in order to guarantee an optimal physiological situation.
