OPTOmega3® is a product made from a rational combination of Lutein, Zeaxanthin, Omega-3 polyunsaturated fatty acids (DHA+EPA), Vitamins, Zinc and Copper.
Lutein is a substance which the human organism is unable to synthesize but is absorbed in the diet thanks to its presence in nature, particularly in green and wide-leafed vegetables.
Clinical trials performed have shown that Lutein increases sensitivity to contrast, improves sight in many cases, and decreases the phenomena of photophobia and dazzling.
Owing to its special antioxidant action this substance has been found to be useful in protecting the macula from the degeneration associated with ageing, in both the atrophic and the exudative forms.
