OPTOmyo® is a product containing vitamin A, E, lutein, anthocyanins from elder flower and procyanidolic oligomers from grape. These elements act blocking the oxidation process of the free radicals and, at the same time, play an important role in the visual cycle. Vitamin A is a precursor of the main constituent of the visual pigment involved in the series of chemical reaction happening within the vision mechanism. It's particularly useful to integrate the diet with vitamin A in case of peculiar conditions of the eye, like miopy. Vitamin E is a powerful anti-oxidant which, thanks to its chemical features, becomes localized at the cellular membrane level, where it acts. Taking vitamin E is essential to prevent the degenerative processes caused by the oxidation of the cellular structures.
Lutein is a yellow pigment of vegetable origins. Its function is essential for the eye. Lutein is stored in the central part of the retina, protecting the photo-receptors, the cells that perceive the light radiations. The elder flower acts as a stimulant for the metabolism of the visual pigment, improving in such a way the vision quality, particularly in situations of poor lighting (at dusk and at night ). The grape seeds contain various anti-oxidant elements.
